The 2008 Baylor women's tennis team recorded the best season in program history with a final record of 32-3 and a trip to the NCAA Semifinals. The Bears secured their fourth-straight Big 12 regular season championship, and won their third-straight conference tournament title. In addition, Zuzana Zemenova advanced to the NCAA Singles championship match for the second time in her career. She finished her Baylor career with a 17-3 record in the singles tournament.
Lenka Broosova advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals, joining Zemenova as the only two Baylor players to advance to the quarterfinals in the same season. Both earned singles and doubles All-America honors from the ITA. Also, Broosova and Jelena Stanivuk were named to the NCAA Women's Tennis All-Tournament Team at the No. 3 and No. 5 position, respectively, after finishing tournament play with perfect 5-0 records.
Zemenova led a Baylor sweep of the Big 12 season awards. The senior won the conference Player of the Year award for the fourth year, the only athlete in Big 12 history to be named player of the year four times. Taylor Ormond was named the conference Freshman of the Year, while Stanivuk earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Head coach Joey Scrivano was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year.

Men's Tennis 2008 Big 12 Regular Season and Tournament Champions |

Matt Knoll's men's tennis team continued its impressive national presence this season when the Bears finished among the nation's top 10 teams for the ninth time in the last 10 years.
Baylor completed the 2007-08 season at 25-9, ranked No. 8 and advanced to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals for the sixth straight year. In addition, Baylor claimed the Big 12 Conference regular season championship, a triumph that marked the Bears' seventh-straight regular season conference championship and eighth overall in the league's 12-year history. The Bears also won their sixth Big 12 Conference Championship title.
For the third time in program history, two players earned All-America status in singles with senior Lars Poerschke and sophomore Denes Lukacs earning a spot on the prestigious list. Lukacs advanced to the tournament's quarterfinals while Poerschke advance to the round of 16.
Capping an illustrious career, Poerschke, a three-time All-American, was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's winner of the prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship.

Softball 2007 Big 12 Regular Season Champions |

The 2007 Baylor softball team posted the best season in program history as the Lady Bears claimed the Big 12 Conference regular season title while advancing to the Women's College World Series for the first time in school history. The Lady Bears claimed their first-ever conference title in dramatic fashion as Baylor needed wins over three, nationally-ranked teams at the end of the year to claim the conference crown. After defeating Missouri and Texas at home, Baylor managed a thrilling, 5-4, come-from-behind victory over Texas A&M in 10-innings as senior Chelsi Lake scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the tenth inning to seal the title.
From there, the team continued to make history for the program as the Lady Bears swept through the NCAA Hempstead Regional before defeating Michigan in a best-of-three series to advance to the WCWS for the first time. At the WCWS, Baylor claimed its first-ever victory on collegiate softball's ultimate stage as the Lady Bears defeated the Aggies for the third time on the year before finishing the tournament in a tie for fifth-place.
On the season, Baylor finished with a record of 51-16 and finished the year ranked fifth in the nation, the highest ranking in school history.

Women's Tennis 2007 Big 12 Regular Season and Tournament Champions |

In 2006-07, fifth-year head coach Joey Scrivano's women's tennis squad claimed its fourth Big 12 regular-season title and second Big 12 postseason championship. In addition, the squad advanced to at least the NCAA Championships' round of 16 for the third straight season.
The Bears ended the season with a 24-7 record and a final national ranking of No. 13. Baylor was led by junior Zuzana Zemenova, the program's first three-time All-American. Zemenova posted a 22-7 mark and was ranked No. 10 in the final rankings, her highest listing of the spring season. Zemenova advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship semifinals before being eliminated by eventual national champion, Audra Cohen of Miami. Senior Zuzana Cerna ended the season ranked No. 52 and freshman Lenka Broosova ended her rookie campaign with a team-best record of 37-8 and a ranking of No. 80.
In doubles, three duos were on the final rankings list. Baylor's top-ranked tandem was Broosova and senior Klara Zrustova at No. 44 while Cerna and Broosova were ranked No. 53 and Zemenova and senior Iva Mihaylova checked in at No. 56.

Completing his fourth season as Baylor's head women's tennis coach, Joey Scrivano coached his Bears through a record-setting season. The Bears claimed their third Big 12 regular-season title and their first-ever Big 12 postseason championship on their way to an NCAA quarterfinal appearance. Overall, the netters earned a program-best 28-3 record, 11-0 in conference play, and concluded the season ranked sixth nationally, the highest final ranking in program history.
Four individual Bears were also recognized by the Big 12 for their regular-season conference records. Sophomore Zuzana Zemenova, for the second-consecutive year, topped the No. 1 singles with an 11-0 mark while junior Zuzana Cerna earned the best record, 10-0, at the No. 2 position. At the conference's No. 4 singles position, junior Klara Zrustova boasted the winningest record, 11-0, while Zuzana Krchnakova topped the No. 6 singles list with her 9-1 mark.
Among Baylor's records, Cerna tallied the most singles wins in a season by winning 45 matches. Both Cerna and Zemenova were invited to the NCAA individual tournament and earned All-America status by being seeded in the singles bracket. Zemenova was the fourth seed and Cerna was seeded in the nine to 16 slot.

Head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson and the 2004-05 Baylor women's basketball team "Finished the Job" with a dominating 84-62 victory over Michigan State in the NCAA championship game to secure the first women's team national title in school history. The Lady Bears posted a 33-3 record, the best mark in school history, 14-2 in Big 12 Conference play and a perfect 14-0 at home en route the NCAA Championship and the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles. The Lady Bears also finished the season with a school-record 20-game winning streak, and as the No. 2 seed in the Tempe Regional, became only the fourth men's or women's basketball team to win the title by knocking off three straight No. 1 seeds - North Carolina, LSU and Michigan State. Junior forward Sophia Young was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament and the Tempe Regional and earned Kodak All-America as well as All-Big 12 honors and numerous other national and league accolades. Senior post Steffanie Blackmon joined Young on the All-Big 12 Team and earned third-team All-America honors. Mulkey-Robertson was tabbed Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year and became the first woman in history to win the NCAA title as both a player and head coach. |

| Matt Knoll and the 2004 Baylor Bears claimed the school's first-ever NCAA team championship when they defeated UCLA 4-0 at the NCAA Championships in Tulsa, Okla. The Bears posted a program-best 32-2 record and ended the season ranked No. 1 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) national rankings. Junior Benedikt Dorsch was named the tournament's most outstanding player and finished the season ranked No.1 bya the ITA. In addition, Dorsch was named the ITA Men's Player of the Year. Also, junior Benjamin Becker claimed the NCAA Singles Championship, also a first for the Baylor program. The Bears won their fourth straight Big 12 regular-season championship and third conference tournament title in the last four years. |

Big 12 Coach of the Year Matt Knoll led his men's tennis team to its
second Big 12 championship in three seasons, then tacked on the
program's first-ever Big 12 Tournament title for good measure. The Bears
finished the season ranked seventh nationally after advancing to the
NCAA Round of 16 for the third time in four years. Freshman Benjamin
Becker earned All-America honors in singles and finished the year ranked
No. 11 in the nation, earning Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors. |

| Head coach Tim Hobby's Bears compiled eight top-five finishes in the
regular season before claiming the 2001 Big 12 Championships in
Hutchinson, Kan., by an astounding 10 strokes. Senior Worth Williams
brought home the individual title by an eight-stroke margin. Williams
and fellow senior Jimmy Walker each earned All-Big 12 honors, and Hobby
was named Big 12 Coach of the Year. |

Baylor Baseball 2000 Big 12 Champions |

Baylor went 45-17 in 2000 en route to the Big 12 Conference title, the
first outright league championship for the baseball program since 1923.
The Bears, who finished the season ranked 14th nationally, hosted their
second-straight NCAA Regional. Closer Zane Carlson set a new Baylor
career record with 15 saves and won Collegiate Baseball's National
Freshman of the Year award, while head coach Steve Smith earned Big 12
Coach of the Year honors from the league's coaches. |

| The Baylor men's tennis team won the first Big 12 Conference
championship for any men's sport at Baylor in 2000, beating out the
baseball team by three weeks. Seniors Johann Jooste, David Hodge and
Pawel Gajdzik led the squad to another first as the program hosted the
first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Baylor advanced to the NCAA
Round of 16 in Athens, Ga., for the first time and finished the season
ranked seventh nationally. Hodge and Mark Williams teamed to form the
No. 8 doubles team in the country and earn All-America honors, while
Jooste fought his way to All-America singles honors. |

Baylor Soccer 1998 Big 12 Champions |

The Baylor soccer program earned the first Big 12 Conference
championship in Baylor history in 1998, when the Bears won the league
title in just the program's third year of existence. Baylor swept
through conference with a perfect 9-0 record, ranking as high as 10th
nationally and earning the program's first NCAA appearance. Dawn
Greathouse and Courtney Saunders each were named All-Americans, while
Nikki Hales and Julie Larson joined them on the All-Big 12 Conference
team. |
